ArtDHope Community Participation Guidelines

We expect and welcome commitment from everyone who understands and shares our goals and wishes to contribute healthily and encouragingly to our community. For the above purpose, we have adopted this code of conduct. We require all those who become a part of this ArtDHope Community to participate, agree, and follow these Community Participation Guidelines to help us create a safe and positive community experience for all.

These guidelines aim to support a community where all people should feel safe to participate, introduce new ideas, and inspire others.

Community members should realize that We are only stronger together as a community than alone, so we should focus on creating a safe space for diverse cooperation where everyone could feel like one.

Expected Behavior

As a member of the ArtDHope Community, you are representing the values we have within our community.

Artdhope is a professional fine art community, so we cant keep all artworks submitted in our community to keep the quality of the network. Our curators will be monitoring the gallery & community section and removing any artworks or posts which do not follow the community guidelines.

Only “Artist” Profiles have access to uploading artworks or images in the Gallery.

Any artworks or posts which doesn’t meet the quality will be removed by our Moderators / Volunteers / Curators & Admin. Please follow the generic guideline for uploading artworks to the Art Gallery Section.

  • Upload only one image of a single artwork.
  • Upload quality images of the artwork without frames or white borders.
  • Incomplete artwork & very amature artworks will not be accepted.
  • Upload your artwork or artworks owned by you. If you are uploading artwork you own, please try to mention the artist’s name in the description.
  • We are not against Digital Artworks, but not all Digital Artworks are accepted here. While going through our Art Gallery, you can understand the type of works that are accepted here.
  • Try to describe the artworks which you upload.

If any Artist account keeps on repeating violating the community guidelines, we will downgrade your account to a ‘General’ account. In a general account, you cannot upload artworks but still keep participating in other community activities. We restrict users like this to keep the quality of the community.

The type of works we are interested

  • Professional artworks
  • Oil, Acrylic, Water Color, or Mixed Medium Artworks
  • Digital Artworks printed on canvas and worked with traditional methods will be considered as mixed medium.
  • Artworks from a complete profile, including a detailed bio, solo, and group exhibition details.
  • Artworks that have the salability or commercial value.

We are a professional art community supporting artists to find the market, so the salability of the artworks is always important in all steps from art gallery to art auction house.

Art Action House / Art Store / Art Sales

The artworks included in the art auction house are selected directly from the art gallery by our team of curators. So please professionally upload your artworks in the art gallery to be contacted by the curators. Our curators will contact you and collect more details about your artwork before considering your artworks in the Art Auction house. During the process, the curators will share further details like artist price and delivery details, etc.

Value and Respect One Another

One should value each other’s ideas, styles, and perspectives. We need not always agree, but disagreement is not an excuse for poor manners. The member should behave respectfully in all the interactions and communications, especially while expressing their opinions at the forum. Always keep in mind that your intense interactions may affect people. Try to be direct, productive, and positive. If you make some mistakes, please take responsibility for your impact and your mistakes – if someone says your words or actions have hurt them, then listen carefully, apologize sincerely, correct the behavior and move forward.

Try to be Active

Try to be active in all the activities and discussions in the Community.

Appreciate and Accommodate Our Similarities and Differences

We have a global community with members from many cultures and backgrounds, so respect people with different cultural practices, attitudes, and beliefs rather than making fun of them… Think of others’ needs from their point of view. Respect people’s right to privacy and confidentiality. Be open to learning from and educating others and educating yourself; it is unrealistic to expect others to know the cultural practices of every ethnic and cultural group, but everyone needs to recognize one’s native culture is only part of positive interactions.

Behavior Not Tolerated

Spam or Phishing

One should not spam or Phish like an attempt to drive traffic to other websites, social media profiles, or unrelated market products; or make false claims against other members of the community or post artworks or things unrelated to you.

Violating Others’ Privacy or IP Rights

One should not publish the other’s artworks unless both parties have their consent agreed. One should not violate others’ privacy, copyrights, or trademarks in their work or speech. One should not duplicate any personal profiles, descriptions, emails, and links without permission directly from the party.

Discriminatory Behavior or Hate Speech

One should treat everyone with respect in every interaction. As a part of the ArtD’Hope Community, we expect our members to respect everyone, regardless of what platform they are on.

Violence and Threats of Violence

Violence and threats of violence are not acceptable – online or offline. This includes inciting violence toward any individual, including encouraging a person to commit self-harm. This also includes posting or threatening to post other people’s personally identifying information online.

Personal Attacks

Conflicts may inevitably arise, but frustration should never become a personal attack. It is not okay to insult, demean or belittle others. Attacking someone for their opinions, beliefs, and ideas will not be tolerated. It is important to speak directly when we disagree and think we need to improve. Still, such discussions must be conducted respectfully and professionally, remaining focused on the issue at hand.

Derogatory Language

Hurtful or harmful language insulting others will not be tolerated.

Unwelcome Sexual Attention

Unwelcome sexual attention is also not acceptable. This includes sexualized comments, jokes, or imagery in interactions, communications, or presentation materials. The sharing or distribution of sexualized images or text is unacceptable.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

Non-tolerated behavior from any community member, including those with decision-making authority, will not be tolerated. Reports of harassment/discrimination will be promptly and thoroughly investigated by the people responsible for the safety of the Community. Appropriate measures will be taken to address the situation. A member can also be banned from the Community for violating the above.

Anyone being asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to agree with it immediately.

Reporting

If you believe you’re experiencing unacceptable behavior that will not be tolerated as outlined above, please reach us directly through mail or use the ‘Report’ feature to report. Reports will be carefully investigated by the Trust and Support team.

Please also report to us if you observe a potentially dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of these guidelines, even if the situation is not happening to you.

If you feel you have been unfairly accused of violating these guidelines, please follow the same reporting process.
