I don’t mind AI art; what bothers me is that these ‘artists’ tout their renown as if they are the genuine creators when, in fact, an app developed the majority of their vision using chosen terminology, phrase, and concept.

When I am unable to see with my artistic mind’s eye, I utilize AI art to produce. THEN I proceed to paint, draw, or develop the computer generated image using my own approach using digital or tangible paint.

I’ve always drawn whatever piqued my attention, and I’ve taught myself how to create cartoon characters freehand since I was a child. But because I lacked the creative ability to translate my mental image onto the canvas with watercolor (the recommended approach), I resorted to photography.

With today’s technology, I can convert a photograph into a painting. Nonetheless, during the pandemic, I retaught myself how to paint and sold my first digital oil painting, followed by a watercolor painting translated into cosmetic bags.

So painting and photography are my outlets for expressing myself and sharing my world through my eyes.
