I am Rohan Bhavsar. I am an artist. I love to paint landscapes as I feel that it is one essential thing which helps me to live and explore. Also it helps me to earn my bread and butter. I belong from the city of Jalgaon in Maharashtra. So maybe my paintings give and create a feeling of warmth because I come from a city which has always been a warmer city.

I use oils, acrylic colours to paint. I use knife and its technique to paint on canvas. I love to paint and capture the intense heat of the sun into my paintings and also I love to paint the old places from my city which had an impact on me as a child. I paint all such memories and do patchwork with the help of a knife on canvas. Nature always rejuvenates itself and it surprises us many a times and I try to see that and apply in my work according to my perception. Nature has an

innate and infinite truth and I enjoy its whole possibility when I am painting. I love to paint with thick layers of colours on canvas as if I am applying colourful clay on the canvas. I feel this kind of intensity of colours is nothing but hunger of my eyes. I also perceive the greyish tone in whatever I see in nature maybe my eyes are totally trained to do that. I try to apply this while painting. But I assure that I won't let the painting to look dull.

I love the form of impressionism. Impressionists like Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet are my inspiration. That is why I love the techniques of patchwork and colour loading. I love nature and I try to see myself as an inseparable part of nature and painting allows me to do so.
