About the Artist:
Johns Mathew is a contemporary artist from Kerala, India. He has shown excellence in Design, Architecture, Art & Video Direction. He has conducted solo exhibitions in Kerala, Bangalore, Greece, Germany. He has participated in different group shows in Kerala, India, Edinburgh, Scotland.
He is a Visiting Faculty for Basic Designs at National Institute of Technology Calicut, for Dept of Architecture. He has worked on different public sculptures & Paintings.
National Granite carving Camps: Shilpanagaram, National Granite Sculptors Camp, Calicut 2012. Granite Carving Camp, organized by Department of Archaeology, Fort Cochin, Kerala, 2013. Organized ‘Artist’s Commune’ by Kalakar Keralam. Kozhikode 2019. Participated in granite relief carving based on the novel of O.V. Vijayan’s Khasaakkinte Ithihaasam, by District Tourism Promotion Council, Palakkad, and Costford, Trichur, Kerala. Participated in commission work to a construct granite building with carvings at Palvelicham, near Kuruva island, Mananthawadi, for Palvelicham Art and Craft Village. 2015
